First Week In HONG KONG!

Hello. I'm just gonna post a very small amount o pictures of our first week in HK. There are none of me and Aim but i promise I took them and didn't get them of the net!

Nice moody cityscape out of our window

Night time out of the bedroom window. Where the buildings stop in the distance, mountains begin.

Lovely old fishing boat

Chinese Pond Heron in Hong Kong Wetlands

Chinese Bulbul in HKW

Rose Necked Parrot in Kowloon Park

Massive Snail

Beautiful orange Dragonfly in HK Wetlands

Tiny little flower in HK Wetlands

Chequered Keel-Back slithering out of the water onto the bank in HK Wetlands. Aim spotted it, I got very excited and fumbled around trying to get my camera on!

Nice pic at the Star Ferry Terminal looking back onto HK Island complete with the ever-present red taxi's.

Central Hong Kong with the Lippo Towers to the right. Some people apparently think they look like they have giant koalas climbing them, I think they look effin wizzy.

Hong Kong Skyline. Has to be seen to be believed.

Subtle advertising by Samsung and Phillips

Fiddler Crab underneath the boardwalk at HK Wetlands (by now you can tell that I really really like HK Wetlands Park, I also really really like the fact that Amy likes it. Let see if she likes it after the 12 visit in 12 weeks?!)

Two male Mudskippers fighting it out. Could have spent all day watching them.

Small fishing island of Cheung Chau. We really enjoyed a day here and will be going back. Lots of seafood sold here, including stingray and urinating shrimp (I promise they are called that, its to do with the yellow liquid they leak when being cooked. Delicious though). Its a massive contrast to Hong Kong and its only 30 mins away.

The Praya in Cheung Chau. Praya is a Portuguese word meaning sea-side road, the Portuguese were the first to settle onto many of the islands around Hong Kong.

Dry seafood is as important as Soy in Hong Kong, we watched a man pain-stakingly hang individual shrimp on the mesh.

Everybody loves a topiary Ying Yang

We'll put more pics up aound the same time next week. Lots of love, Jim and Aim x
